Bloomsbury

Interesting
This old residential area encompasses many 18C and 19C squares lined with attractive Georgian and Victorian façades. Once very popular with artists and writers, the area was the cradle of the Bloomsbury Group in the early 20C, whose members were some of the district's most famous residents. Today, the area's artistic and intellectual traditions are kept alive by the internationally renowned British Museum.
