Folkestone

Folkestone
The Essential
Folkestone was long the second port, after Dover, for cross-Channel traffic. It boasts a grassy, clifftop promenade that heads westward: The Leas. On a clear day, the superb panoramic view over the sea reaches as far as the French coast. Access to the Channel Tunnel lies at the foot of the North Downs on the northern outskirts of the town.
