Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum

The renowned writer, poet and lexicographer Samuel Johnson (1709-84) was born in this house built by his father. The exhibition looks back over his life, his work, including his famous dictionary, and his friendships, in particular with Erasmus Darwin.
