Edinburgh Zoo

Recommended
The 32ha Edinburgh Zoo occupies the south face of Corstorphine Hill. The most popular attraction is the Penguin Parade, the procession of a colony of 30 king penguins and 100 gentoo penguins. Indigenous species are also housed here: the wildcat, pine marten and golden eagle. From the top of the hill (155m, panoramic table), there is a view over the whole of Edinburgh, the Pentlands to the south and the mountains around Loch Lomond.
