St Mary's Parish Church

Late 14C / early 15C church that, after numerous floods and disasters, deteriorated to the point that under the Restoration, it was no longer used as a place of worship. The nave was completely changed in the 19C, and then the choir from 1971 to 1973. The southern window of the southern arm of the transept contains a stained glass window by Burne-Jones. The Lauderdale lower side houses the 17C Lauderdale monument with its alabaster reclining figures.
