Stoer Peninsula

Passing through lovely hamlets, the narrow winding B869 follows the jagged peninsula coastline. Start with a little detour to the isolated village of Achmelvich, from where sea mammals may often be seen, then on to Clachtoll and its pretty bay. Beyond Stoer, various narrow roads lead to the Point of Stoer lighthouse. Returning on the B869, pass Clashnessie and its fine beach, then thorough the charming villages of Drumbegg (views on a fine day of Handa and Ben Stack) and Nedd.
