Georgian Jail and Museum

The prison with its strict reforming ethic, was built around 1820 and considered to be one of the most modern jails of its day. It centred around the governor's block which overlooked three centrally-heated cell blocks, linked by first-floor gangways. There are exhibits illustrating prison life and Jedburgh.
