Hamilton Low Park Museum

This old post house has an 18C village hall and a local history collection. There is a section devoted to transport and boards describing local industry, includinglacemaking . Here you will find examples of the two stages of this industry: bobbin lace making, introduced in the 17C by Duchess Anne, and tulle embroidered lace, dating back to the 19C.
