Brig o'Turk
The Essential
This scattered village is set in the magnificent Trossachs, one of the most beautiful places in the United Kingdom. Standing at the mouth of Glen Finglas, it has an interesting artistic past. In 1853, the art critic John Ruskin and his wife spent an extended holiday there with the Pre-Raphaelite painter John Everett Millais, a leading figure in Victorian art. It was also a favourite haunt of painters from the Glasgow School.
