Ballance House

The birthplace of John Ballance (1839-1893), the emigrant who became the first liberal Prime Minister of New Zealand. The small living room is still furnished in the style of the 1850s, as it was during John Ballance's childhood. An exhibition on the first floor is devoted to Maori culture and the relations between Ulster and New Zealand, in particular the lasting links between the Royal School of Dungannon and Dilworth School in New Zealand.
