Stormont Parliament Buildings

Stormont, Northern Ireland's Parliament Building, is a sober and imposing white edifice in the Classical style and has a central portico. It stands on a hill approached by a broad avenue that cuts through rolling parkland. Parliament met here between 1932 and 1972. In 1999 it became the meeting place of the new Northern Ireland Assembly. Stormont Castle, on the right, houses other government offices.
