Roe Valley Country Park
Here the River Roe runs through nearly 5km of woodland and meadows made accessible to visitors by a series of lovely footpaths. In the 19C the Roe was lined with industrial mills, which were used primarily for threshing flax. The Green Lane Heritage Centre, housed in a converted industrial mill, presents exhibits from the pre-Industrial era. A hundred or so metres away, the Dogleap Countryside Centre proposes an exhibition detailing the valley's natural environment and its history.
