Silent Valley Reservoir

The Silent Valley reservoir and dam, finished in 1933, were built to supply the region, and Belfast in particular, with water. Pleasant walks allow visitors to enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the place, in addition to fine views over the narrow valley. An immense wall encloses the catchment area. To the north of the reservoir, a path leads to another reservoir, Ben Crom.
