When to go
Whatever the season, there is always something to do at Dubai: swimming, theme parks, museums, shopping, horse races or just being flabbergasted by the sheer scale and luxury of this city! That said, you will still have to juggle with the weather!
Dubai is ideally visited from October to April (check when Ramadan falls, because the shops and restaurants modify their opening hours accordingly) when the mild temperatures make outdoor activities very pleasant. Indeed, why not spend Christmas in Dubai, whose decorations are magical?
We do not recommend going between May and September. The temperatures can climb as high as 50°C/120°F, the humidity is unbearable and you will be forced to stay indoors to stand a chance of retaining the slightest modicum of energy. Don’t think that the seaside will bring a welcome relief either: the sand is scorching and the sea unpleasantly warm. There is however one bonus to this season: many hotels offer significant discounts!
