When to go
From November to March, all the travel lights are green (except in terms of your wallet!): the mild weather is suited to a host of activities and festive events from the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix (November) to the Dubai shopping festival (mid-January to mid-February). April and October, when the temperatures are still reasonable, are suited to seaside activities and to hikes with a night in the desert.
However if you plan to go to the United Arab Emirates between June and September, you will be forced to remain more or less indoors in air-conditioned buildings because the humid heat is practically unbearable. To such an extent that many hotels offer discounts during this period!
Finally, remember to check the dates of Ramadan, which is scrupulously respected and leads to changes in opening hours of restaurants and museums.
