Gulf of Georgia Cannery

Interesting
The cannery shut down for good in 1979 after almost a century packing salmon, halibut and herring. The Gulf of Georgia Cannery is now a museum. In the small harbor district of Steveston, reputed for its canneries where several generations of Asian immigrants were employed, it pays tribute to the fishing industry. Films, interactive exhibits and guided visits await the visitor.
