New Brunswick Aquarium and Marine Centre

Devoted to the marine life of the gulf, this pleasant museum on the Acadian peninsula features exhibits on the St. Lawrence River and New Brunswick's lakes and rivers. An audiovisual presentation explains the history of the fishing industry. In a series of aquariums, outdoor seal pool and touch tank, fish native to these waters are on view. Visitors can enter the cabin of a modern-day reconstructed trawler to see the mass of electronic devices used to find and catch fish.
