Saint Felicien Wild Zoo
Occupying a pleasant site on a small island in the midst of Salmon River, the zoo is home to over a 1,000 specimens of Canadian wildlife (caribou, wapiti, black bears, wolves and bison) who roam free in the Nature Trails Park. Visitors can observe them from the safety of a specially designed train. The pioneer era is recaptured in the authentic buildings on the site, among which a pioneer home from 1875, a trading post, a Montagnais camp and a 1930s jobber (lumberjack) camp.
