The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA

Recommended
Before the 1986 completion of the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA)'s California Plaza building, its first shows were held in this former warehouse complex with interiors redesigned for exhibition purposes by architect Frank Gehry. Formerly known as the Temporary Contemporary, the structure remains a branch of MOCA and is used for presentation of large-scale exhibits as well as changing displays of works from the museum's permanent collection.
