Reuben H. Fleet Science Center

Five changing interactive exhibit galleries, a dome-screen theater and a 23-rider motion simulator for SciTour "voyages" of space discovery share this Spanish Colonial structure, built in 1973 and doubled in size in 1998. The center is named for Reuben H. Fleet, founder of San Diego's Consolidated Aircraft Corp. The Space Theater features tiered seating facing a 75ft domed screen on which astronomy programs, laser shows and large-format IMAX films are projected.
