Purdy's Macadamia Nut Farm
Chances are, you'll be accosted-in a charming way-by Tuddie Purdy, who greets visitors at his family's 80-year-old macadamia-nut orchard. He'll coax you to come look at the trees on the five-acre farm, and will lend you a hammer to crack open some nuts, so you can help yourself, as he'll urge you to do. He'll also share the island's most delectable treat-slices of fresh coconut, slathered in macadamia honey.
