Baltimore, Maryland's largest city, emerged in the 1980s as a thriving metropolis where gleaming skyscrapers designed by some of the nation's most noteworthy architects spike the skyline. A wide brick sidewalk along the Patapsco River shoreline links several neighbourhoods, including Little Italy, Fells Point and Federal Hill, boasting grand views of the revitalised inner harbor.
