When to go
Follow in the tracks of most visitors to Boston and go from May to October. During this period, you can choose between a mild, flower-decked spring and a hot, lively summer that goes into overtime thanks to the Indian summer.
In April, you will be able to witness Patriots’ Day, celebrated by a host of reconstitutions of battles and street events commemorating the American Revolution.
Later the spirit and the temperatures in the city gradually rise. The July 4 festivities in Boston on Independence Day are truly extravagant. In late August, the city hits a new high when the students return to college and it is a lovely time to tour the Harvard campus.
In October, all eyes are focused on Charles River for the world’s greatest rowing race, the Head of the Charles Regatta, which takes place amid an amazing frenzy of enthusiasm.
Winter arrives suddenly, bringing cold, windy and snowy weather, less suited to tourism…
