Battleship Cove

In 1965, the battleship USS Massachusetts was moored at Fall River to serve as a permanent memorial to the 13 000 Massachusetts men and women who gave their lives in service to their country during World War II. In recent decades, several other naval ships have joined the Massachusetts as exhibits at this outdoor naval museum on the waterfront, including the PT Boat 796, the submarine USS Lionfish and the destroyer USS Joseph P. Kennedy.
