DeCordova Sculpture Park and Museum

Recommended
Opened in 1950 on a lush lakeside estate bequeathed by Bostonian businessman Julian de Cordova, this museum is a showcase for contemporary American art, with particular emphasis on New England artists. The 35-acre wooded grounds provide a setting for 75 monumental works, made from wood and steel by nationally and internationally acclaimed artists. The museum is complemented by the interactive Art ExperienCenter, which explains the theory of abstract art.
