New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park Visitor Center

Created in 1996, the park encompasses a 13-block area adjacent to New Bedford's waterfront and preserves some 70 structures (most of them privately owned) related to the city's whaling heyday. The park visitor center offers maps, guided tours and information.
