There are not enough superlatives to describe Las Vegas. All glitter, sparkle and cascading dollars, this artificial city surrounded by desert likes to think of itself as a Disneyland for adults. The three-mile Strip is literally crammed with the neon lights of the city's casino-hotels, entertainment venues and shops. Garish and yet classy at the same time, Las Vegas is starting to aim towards high-end tourism and is well-placed to describe itself as one of the great gastronomic capitals in the world.
