Federal Reserve Bank

Interesting
Here you stand in "the holiest of holies". Nicknamed "The Fed", it establishes the United States' monetary policy, which ripples outwards and affects the world economy; all of which is explained in an interactive exhibit. But the tour begins in the strong-room, buried nearly 80ft under the street and 50ft under sea level, where the billions of dollars of gold belonging to the United States and banks from over sixty countries are stored, representing 25 to 30% of the global reserves. Wow!
