The Frick Collection

Highly recommended
The Frick Collection showcases an exceptional treasure trove of Old Masters paintings, furnishings and applied arts. In 1913 steel tycoon Henry Clay Frick commissioned Carrère and Hastings to build this Neoclassical-style mansion with a patio, where he lived with his sumptuous art collection, acquired in travels to Europe. Transformed into a museum in 1935, the artistic quality is second to none.
