Madison, located between Lake Mendota and Lake Monona, is one of the most pleasant small towns in the United States. The coastline is scattered with picturesque neighbourhoods and parks, while the white dome of the State Capitol marks the town's historic centre. Frank Lloyd Wright, a native of the region, employed innovative architecture in building the Unitarian Meeting House (1951). The students of the University of Wisconsin contribute to the cultural dynamism of the place, as well as to the relaxed atmosphere.
