Alice Springs

Alice Springs
The Essential
Despite its seemingly refreshingly name, Alice Springs is arid and dusty, set as it is in the heart of the Australian desert. Once the only gateway to the Red Centre, it is now a stopover and refuelling point for travellers on their way to the Outback and the MacDonnell Ranges. Points of interest include the Araluen Arts Centre and the base of the Royal Flying Doctors Service.
