Port Douglas
The Essential
Interesting

A former fishing village to the north of Cairns, Port Douglas is now an up-market seaside resort, dotted with luxury hotels, chic boutiques and art galleries. The town is at the crossroads of two UNESCO heritage sites: Daintree National Park and the Great Barrier Reef. The pristine sandy shoreline of idyllic Four Mile Beach, without a single construction to mar the view, is fringed with coconut palms.
