Dandenong Ranges

The Dandenong Ranges, culminating at 633m/2,077ft and comprising a national park of the same name, are a popular countryside retreat for Melburnians. The 32ha/79-acre park is home to forests of dripping tree ferns, emblematic of the park and riddled with hiking trails. The iconic 1000 Steps, which go up through the wet fern gully, is one the most well-known, but not to be underestimated!
